So I'm back from the Cameron Highlands trip, again
. I've have been paying visit to this place every 4 months since May last year ...... and couldn't find any reason to stop doing so
.
Of coz with the Chinese New Year been celebrated, you can find the heavy traffic at Cameron, we're stuck in the slow moving traffic when we reached ..... but all is smooth after passing the Equatorial hotel area.
We offer a ride to a Japanese couple, finding they're heading to Tanah Rata too ..... and guess what? I earn my 1st tips in Cameron
D. The wife give us a pack of tiramisu biscuits, and the husband give us RM5 for the lift ..... it makes me feel bad at first, becoz I didn't expect anything in return, we did try to decline but they just jump off from the car and we hv language barrier to explain to them. But if this is just a way for them to show their gratitude, I think we shld just accept it
.
We spend the day at the Forest Center, climb up to the watch tower, and the rubbish still remains at the tree brances where I saw it last time ...... from there we watched over the Tanah Rata, a part of Brinchang Town, show Juin the Brinchang Mt we going tomorrow morning.
And then we headed down to the Boh Tea Plantation, the 1400 hectar plantation is marvellous. We crawl our way up to 1 of the open for tourist hill top, and enjoy the tiramisu biscuits there, along with the mandarin oranges we bought along from home
, just to still feel the CNY atmosphere. Accompany us at the hilltop is 2 Germans and a Briton who we offered a ride there, so happens they're living at the same guesthouse with us ..... it means we're neighbor, haha.
The 2nd day started early as we want to avoid the traffic ...... small part of the road to Mt Brinchang is ruined, big holes in the middle of the road where I was so terrified my car won't able to get passed it, maybe the authority shld do smth abt it. Yeah, we didn't climb the mountain, but just drive all the way up ....... we took a short trip into the mossy forest.
The mossy forest is much more dry this time compare my previous 2 trips, so it makes the trekking whole lot easier. And the RM7.90 shoes that I hv bought, is super
. Will definitely hv more treks with this shoes
. But my stamina is declining ..... this is not good, and I'm drifting further from my aim to climb the Mt Irau
. I suppose shld hv more exercise and watching over my diet these days huh.
Jackie, my Cameron friend came and met me up at the guesthouse. When my friend found him asking for me outsides of our room, she thought he's the Japanese father of a kid wonder outside our room
..... lots of ppl think he's a Japanese, haha.
After lunch, off we head for Ringlet, Jackie's uncle hv a vegetable farm there. This is the 1st time we're getting so close to a farm, and learn much how they operate it. And I must said, it's not easy job at all. I got sunburn for spending 30 minutes there, imagine if I got to work daily
.
We left Cameron early morning today ..... bring along the delicious pearl corns, the free vegetables from Jackie's aunty, and lot's and lot's of good memory of Cameron again. I joked to Jackie that I'm gonna turn myself into a Cameronian slowly since he had brought me to many places in Cameron ...... but he said that I still got a long way to go, becoz Cameron just got so many more interesting places that I hvn't explored. Well, no worry ..... we'll hv plenty of time then
.
p/s : Jackie work part timely as a tour guide in and out of Cameron, so if anyone is interested in the outdoor activities, or just sight seeing ..... this is his number : +6012 5301338
