HL was always mumbling at me, that whenever I ask her to trek the Pantai Kerachut National Park, same time there will be rains, and her house will get flooded. It happens last time, and last night it almost happened again
.
Off we go and depart from the mainland at 7smth in the morning, the rains is getting bigger and bigger when we crossed the PG bridge, no sign at all that it will stops, and the sun will comes out to shine. But when we reached the park entrance, the rain become smaller, and we decided to go in with an umbrella on our hands.
I joke to my friends that we're not only gonna exercise the legs muscle, but so as the arm as need to carry the umbrella along the trek. The rainfall is not big insides the forest, as we're protected from the big tree before the rains falls on us.
I hv a steady team here today, everyone is moving in a fast and smooth pace ...... though we need to stop once due to the heavy rains, but later we decided to move on as it doesn't seems like it will get any smaller.
We reached Kerachut beach within an hour trek. Rest ourself at the hut that was prepared by the forest reservation center. Before us, there's already a group of Malay guys packing their stuffs and ready to leave. And also a group of Japanese tourists that seems to just hv their early morning swim.
Not much to do as it's still raining, we just laze and I'm too bored, thus grab some of my tuna sandwiches. PL and I decided to head out to the beach and the jetty to take some photos ...... the rest of 3 just decided to hv their yoga class in the hut
.
After having our time there, we decided to travel bk with boat, as we feel the situation of the sea is not so rough ......... and we almost regretted on the decision an hour later.
We all boarded to the boat when it comes, as it still raining, thus we all felt chilly as the boat is not covered at the sides, it only got a small roof. As we starts take off, one can imagine all the rain water, sea water started to wash off us, for free
. But there's no way you can hide from it.
All of us were concentrating to look at the scene in front of us .....then HL started to shout, there's something on our left handsides. And I see the most marvellous scene in my life ........... a school of dolphins were riding the waves and travel along with us, they came out from the surface. I can see they're dark grey in color, with a round head, and at least 5 of them. The shipper claimed that we're very lucky to hv able to see this creature ........ I try to take some shots, but it is just too difficult when u r in the boat.
They're out of our sight after the 2 minutes spectacular show, and then things started to change at the sea. The waves getting rough, and everytime when I see it hits our boat, I feel hard to breath. I started to grab the chairs where my friend seated in front of us, there was a time so rough that my 2 friends at the front almost thrown down from their seat .......... and that was time everyone keep silent and started to pray.
All I can do ...... is to learn to ride with the waves, and ask my friends at the front to balance themself well so the boat won't flipped over. I started to think of my family, my mum ...... how sorry I am to put myself in a dangerous situation like this. I even thought the dolphins that we saw just now, is somehow to guide us bk HOME.
Luckily, things getting bk to normal after we cross the area, the sea calm down a bit and we actually able to make it to the shore within 15 minutes more.
My legs were a bit shaking after got off from the boat, must be becoz I'm too tense along the ride. And everyone just started to speak out their feeling abt the scary moment, looks like I'm not the only one then to start praying.
The lesson : Try not to trek in the rains, DEFINITELY don't take a boat ride when it rains as the situation of the sea can chg so fast.
Thanks to someone up there who allow us to see the beautiful dolphins, and blessing us to safely reached the shore.
